NOTE TO OUR AYL SOFTBALL FAMILIES

NOTE TO OUR AYL SOFTBALL FAMILIES

PLAY BALL!

All AYL games to are set to 1 1/2 hours in length.  No new inning may start after the 1 1/2 time limit.  This change allows more time between games for the first set of teams/fans to leave the park before the second set of teams /fans enter the field.  This helps to make sure we do not exceed the personnel limits for groups congregating at a field that are imposed by the field providers.

Please remember the following safety precautions for all of us to follow:

  • Spectators are welcome to attend all games but we recommend you wear face masks throughout game and please social distance at all times.  No grouping up behind home plate!
  • When you arrive for the next game please do not congregate around the game field, spread out to other space - we cannot exceed the 25 player limit on/at the game field.
  • Coaches and players while in dugout spread out to social distance which may include being outside the dugout down the 1st or 3rd baselines.
  • Coaches must have hand sanitizer/wipes to clean catcher’s mask/helmets, bats, batting helmets, etc. regularly.
  • Players should wipe their hands with sanitizer after each at bat.
  • Do not share baseball gloves or batting gloves, sharing of bats is discouraged but if done, the bats must be wiped down between each person’s use.
  • No post game handshakes nor team lineups, verbal salute of “nice game” across the diamond would be appropriate.
  • Everyone must bring their own water/drink bottle, personally labeled with person’s name, and no sharing of drinks will be allowed.
  • Parents should ensure their child is healthy with no preexisting issues if your player is sick please stay home!
  • Most importantly please enjoy the return of youth softball!

Please check back often for updates as they develop and make sure you are in communication with your team's coaches so as to not miss any specific information from your particular team.

For now please contact your specific Club’s Baseball Director with any questions you may have.

Rocky Mountain Thunder (a Warriors brand) offers competitive travel team options that field teams playing in each age group (10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U). Tryouts for these teams happens in late July and early August and teams are established based on these rosters.  More information can be found on the Rocky Mountain Thunder website by clicking here.
